The complex was completed in October 1984 and dedicated in November 1985. The complex at that time cost $3.5 million.
The Optimist Village Apartments are 100% filled at almost any given time. There are recreational events as well as seasonal parties for the residents. Picnic tables grace the grounds and nice sidewalks for walking. Pets are accepted.
